| Are You Rapture Ready? Do You Know The Lord? |
| To be rapture ready means to be saved. Therefore most important question should be asked, "Are you saved?" One might die before the rapture. No one is guaranteed tomorrow. If one is saved, then Jesus will take that person away when the rapture occurs. This event is coming... 1Thess 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. The Bible says, “The Lord Himself” will return. Who is this Lord??? CONSIDER WHO THE LORD IS... 1) Angels proclaimed to the shepherds in Luke 2:11: "For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Christ the Lord." Jesus never sinned. He lived a perfect sinless life…the spotless Lamb of God. Matt 1:21 “…thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” 2) Peter said to Jesus in Matt 16:16, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." 3) Thomas said to our Resurrected Savior in John 20:28-- "My Lord and My God" 4) The Holy Spirit penned through the Apostle Paul, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."(Rom 10:9) Phil 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; Eph 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. 5) Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ: John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. 6) The Holy Spirit penned through the Apostle John that Jesus is the Living Word and created all things. He is the Creator, along with the Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit. Col 1:16-17 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 7) The Roman Centurion stated, “Truly, this was the Son of God” as he looked on the crucified Christ. Mark 15:39 says, "And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God." 8) John the Baptist stated, “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29) 9) The Apostle Paul wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” (Heb 9:28) Jesus is the Lamb who was slain from the foundation of the world. 10) The Holy Spirit wrote through the Apostle Peter that we (who have received Christ) were redeeemed with the "precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot" (1Peter 1:19) Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is this Lord? King David prophesied of Jesus saying, “The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand until I make thy foes thy footstool.” (Acts 2:34) The Apostles did NOT blindly follow Jesus for over three years. They followed Him for Jesus is the Lord! They SAW HIS GLORY! John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. The Apostle John said, “We beheld His glory…” People who knew Jesus trusted in Him completely. They watched Him have compassion on the broken hearted; Jesus touched lives everywhere He went. He healed lepers, made the blind to see, the deaf to hear, cured the lame, astonished the religious leaders and people of the day with His wisdom and knowledge of the Scriptures and His answers to their questions. John 7:15 And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? Luke 2:47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. Luke 4:32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power. John 7:46 The officers answered, Never man spake like this man. Mark 1:22 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes. Luke 4:36 And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out. Jesus raised dead people back to life; the disciples went fishing all night long and caught nothing but when Jesus stepped into the picture, He provided fish flowing over in abundance. Jesus fed five thousand people from five loaves of bread and two fish. Jesus told Peter to go out and catch a fish and the first fish that he would catch out of the water would have a coin in its mouth and instructed Peter to pay their taxes. (Matt 17:27) Jesus touched every life that ever encountered Him and He still touches lives today. Those who have believed on Him as Savior KNOW that He is the Lord of Glory and that He is coming back again. We believe His promises. The Lord, Himself, shall return. He is coming back PERSONALLY. He is not sending someone else to take His Church—His Bride—home…He, HIMSELF, is coming back for us! Question is, are you a believer? Do you know the Lord Jesus? Have you believed on Him as your personal Savior? Who is this Lord who will come down from Heaven with a shout? Peter stated, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (Matt 16:16) Jesus, Himself, told us who He is: The Great I AM The Door of His Sheep The Great Shepherd The ONLY WAY to the Heavenly Father The ONLY Begotten Son of God The Resurrection and the Life The Truth that can set us free The First and the Last Alpha and Omega…The Beginning and the End The Bread of Life which came down from Heaven The Messiah to the Samaritan woman The Heavenly King The Son of Man The Christ—the Messiah…who will fulfill all bible prophecy The Son of the Blessed One He has a name written- KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS Supreme Authority and Judge—ALL power is given unto Him Jesus gives Living Water He is able to forgive sins for He is God—the Second Person of the Trinity. 1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Jesus gives eternal life Paul and Silas preached, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ..." Peter preached to the Jews in Act 3:26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. Paul told the people of Athens on Mars Hill that what they worshipped, they worshipped in ignorance. Are you worshipping a god that man conjured up in his imagination? Or do you believe the absolute truth that can only be found in God’s Holy Word? Can you say as the Apostle Thomas said, “My Lord and my God”? Are you trusting Jesus who died at Calvary for your sins and rose again? Is your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life? The Lord Jesus paid the ultimate price for your sins by shedding His precious blood and giving His life so that you could spend eternity with Him. Each name that is in the Lamb’s Book of Life represents the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ who paid the price for that person’s redemption. To have your name in the Book of Life means to live eternally with God forever. To not have your name in the Lamb’s Book of life means that one will spend eternity apart from God—eternally lost for the greatest sin a person can commit is the rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ. How can one reject the ultimate free gift of salvation? Salvation is a free gift…given to us by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus. If you are not saved, do not wait until tomorrow. Receive the Lord Jesus as your Savior today. Tomorrow is promised to no man and eternity is long. Because Jesus arose from the dead, believers in Christ Jesus can be sure we will be with Him in Heaven someday…sooner than we can know for Jesus can come at any time and take us all home in the Rapture.
