T'was The Night Before Christmas
No Sign of Jesus In The Home

T'was the night before Christmas
and all through the town
Not a sign of Jesus
was anywhere to be found.

The people were all busy
with Christmas time chores
Like decorating, and baking,
and shopping in stores.

No one sang "Away in a manger,
no crib for a bed".
Instead, they sang of Santa
dressed-up in bright red.

Mama watched Martha Stewart,
Papa drank beer from a tap.
As hour upon hour
the presents they'd wrap

When what from the TV
did they suddenly hear?
'Cept an ad.. which told
of a big sale at Sears.

So away to the mall
they all flew like a flash
Buying things on credit
and others with cash!

And, as they made their way home
From their trip to the mall,
Did they think about Jesus?
Oh, no... not at all.

Their lives were so busy
with their Christmas time things
No time to remember
Christ Jesus, the King.

There were presents to wrap
and cookies to bake.
How could they stop and remember
who died for their sake?

To pray to the Savior
they had no time to stop.
Because they needed more time
to "Shop til they dropped!"

On Wal-mart! On K-mart!
On Target! On Penney's!
On Hallmark! On Zales!
A quick lunch at Denny's

From the big stores downtown
to the stores at the mall
They would dash away, dash away,
and visit them all!

And up on the roof,
there arose such a clatter
As grandpa hung icicle lights
up on his brand new step ladder.

He hung lights that would flash.
He hung lights that would twirl.
Yet, he never once prayed to Jesus...
Light of the World.

Christ's eyes... how they twinkle!
Christ's Spirit... how merry!
Christ's love... how enormous!
All our burdens... He'll carry!

So instead of being busy,
overworked, and uptight
Let's put Christ back in
Christmas and enjoy
some good nights!

A Little Note From Cobblestone Road Ministries:

How sad that people have forgotten the true meaning of CHRISTmas.
How sad that people sing to an imaginary "Santa" but yet forget their
Creator-- who loves them. Let us remember the Lord Jesus EVERY
day of the year! The manger always leads to the Cross and Resurrection.

The Gospel message is for everyone and for every day of the year!
The Lord Jesus left the splendor of Heaven to be born in a humble
manger. The King of the Universe-- the Great I AM became a man and
lived the life of a Servant. He never sinned. His mission was to die for
our sins. When Adam sinned, all of mankind became separated from
God because of sin. Only Jesus, who never sinned, could restore the
relationship between God and man. Jesus willingly went to the cross to die
for your sins and mine. What a wonderful Savior! The angel told Joseph in
Matthew 1:21  And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his
name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Because our Messiah is arose from the grave, we have hope! He is
our Hope! Because Jesus is alive, we have this blessed assurance that
one day we will live with Him too. He is our Intercessor. He is seated
at the right hand of the Heavenly Father. He is the ONLY Mediator
between God and man.

The Lord Jesus said in John 3:17-18
For God sent not his Son into
the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might
be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth
not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in
the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The true meaning of Christmas is that Messiah Jesus-- Yeshua--
came as humble Servant and died upon the cruel cross of Calvary for
all who would receive Him as Savior. He is risen. He is exalted today
and given a name that is above every name.

Act 5:31
Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and
a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

The message of Christmas is the message of salvation through the
Lord Jesus Christ. He died for our sins and rose again and He shall
soon return as KING of Kings and LORD of Lords.

Heb 9:28
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and
unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without
sin unto salvation.

If you do not know the Lord Jesus as your personal Savior, receive
Him into your heart today. Believe on Him for there is NO other Savior.
Jesus saves and Him alone. The Bible tells us that there is ONLY One
Mediator between God and man-- the man Christ Jesus!

Buddha cannot save;
Mary cannot save;
Mohammed cannot save;
The New Age Movement cannot save!
Only Jesus saves and Him Alone!
