"Our Great High Priest
OUR great High Priest is sitting
At God's right hand above,
For us His hands uplifting,
In sympathy and love;
Whilst here below, in weakness,
We onward speed our way;
In sorrow oft and sickness,
We sigh and groan and pray.
Through manifold temptation,
My soul holds on her course,
Christ's mighty intercession
Alone is her resource;
My gracious High Priest's pleadings,
Who on the cross did bleed,
Bring down God's grace and blessings,
Help in each hour of need.
O Jesus blessed Saviour,
We hope to see Thee soon,
Who once on earth didst suffer,
Who soon for us wilt come.
'Twas God's most gracious favour
Gave Thee, His Son, to die;
To live our Intercessor;
To plead for us on high.

A Little Note from Cobblestone Road Ministries:
Oh what a blessed reality! We have a LIVING Savior, who is seated
at the Right Hand of the Father, ever interceding on our behalf! In this
age of apostasy, not too many people teach this today but the Bible tells
us that Jesus is our Great and Faithful High Priest who is after the order
of Melchisedec. He is our Priest forever! He is our Intercessor. We can
come boldly to God's Throne-room because of the blood of Christ Jesus.
He died for our sins upon the cross and rose from the dead! We serve a
Living Savior- who loves us and gave Himself for us! The Bible tells us
that it is Jesus, Himself, who makes intercession for us. We do not need
another...we have the Lord, Himself! Roman Catholicism teaches that
"Mary is our intercessor and co-mediator" but such teaching is AGAINST
the Bible for the Bible teaches that it is JESUS ALONE who is our Intercessor and Mediator. The Holy Bible tells us that, as Believers, we
may BOLDLY COME to the Throne of God to obtain grace in time of need.
What a wonderful Savior!
All we need is Jesus!
For there is one God, and one mediator between God
and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather,
that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God,
who also maketh intercession for us.
Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren,
that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining
to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into
the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling
of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without
sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may
obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation
unto all them that obey him; Called of God an high priest after the
order of Melchisedec.
Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made
an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come
unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
