"God Answers Prayer"

I know not by what methods rare,
But this I know, God answers prayers.
I know that He has given His Word,
Which tells me prayer is always heard,
And will be answered, soon or late,
And so I pray and calmly wait.
I know not if the blessing sought
Will come in just the way I thought;
But leave my prayers with Him alone,
Whose will is wiser than my own,
Assured that He will grant my quest,
Or send some answer far more blest.

A Short Note from Cobblestone Road Ministries:

Phil 4:6-7
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the
peace of God
, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts
and minds through Christ Jesus.

There is a famous quote that says, "God's answers are wiser than our
prayers." And how true that is. Every prayer we pray is heard in His
ears. He answers prayer...and yes, sometimes we wait a long time
for a reply; and sometimes it is not the way that we thought, but looking
back, in retrospect, we know that He always knows what is right for us,
what is best and His timing is perfect. You may be questioning, "Why
hasn't God answered my prayer?" Is your heart prepared for His will?
Are you praying for the Lord's will to be done in your life? You see,
the Father knows what is best for you. And the Bible says that when
we pray according to "His will, He heareth us." Do not be discouraged.
Leave your prayers in His powerful hand and know that He will
see you through whatever faces you today. Trust in the Lord Jesus.
God specializes in happy endings.

1 John 5:14-15
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us,
whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that
we desired of him.

The Following Is Taken From "Our Hope Magazine," copyright 1921.

"Every true believer knows that the Lord hears and answers prayer.
What an unspeakable and blessed privilege is prayer! The whole bible from Genesis to Revelation tells us of prayer and gives to God's people that
assurance of God's gracious and loving interest when they call unto Him.
What encouragement the Holy Spirit has given in the Divine records to all
His people to make use of prayer.

Prayer as revealed in the Word of God, like everything else in the revelation
of God, is inexhaustible. It seems as if everything in the Word is a mighty
call from the Lord to His people to keep in touch with Him through prayer,
to trust Him and flee to Him with all of their burdens. "
