Bible Answer Concerning
"Infant Baptism and Keeping The Sabbath"
The following is our email response to questions in italics.

Infant Baptism

I want to know if a person that has being baptized as a baby is saved?

No, A person is only saved by receiving Christ as Savior. A baby, being innocent, does not know right from wrong but it is only when a child grows up that he can acknowledge that he is a sinner; and understand that his sin separates him from God and receive Christ as Savior. The Bible states that a person must receive Jesus Christ to save them from their sins. The Lord Jesus said in Mark 16:16:
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

John 1:12 states,
"But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name"

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him,
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Christ died for sinners. Those who look to Him alone to save them from their sins shall be saved. The Bible states that we are saved by grace through faith-- and not of our own good works but rather it is Christ alone who saves us. (Please read Ephesians 2:8-9)

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Can you tell me if sprinkle of water is not valid to be baptized or does the person has to be submerged in water to be really baptized and is water only a symbol?

The Bible teaches that baptism is by
submersion. The Greek word for "baptize" means to "to immerse, submerge" or to make "fully wet"-- in other words-- the whole entire body.

Baptism is a commandment given to every Believer by the Lord Jesus Christ. It is not the "water" that saves us but baptism is the result of one believing on Christ. As one gets baptized, the "old man" before Christ is submerged under water (symbolic of death) and the new man in Christ Jesus immerges out of the water (symbolic of newness of life). It is a new beginning in the life of faith in Christ Jesus. This is why the whole entire body must be submerged. It is symbolic of a new beginning in Christ.

Romans 6:3-4
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with
him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Fourth Commandment

4th commandment on keeping the Sabbath, why the majority of churches have service on Sunday and not on Saturday?

The reason is that when Christ arose, He arose on the First day of the week. The Early Church broke bread and met together on the first day of the week and it was called "the Lord's day." (Acts 20:7 1 Cor 16:1-2 and Revelation 1:10) The Sabbath has always been a Saturday-- but this was established under the Old Covenant. Nowhere in the New Testament Epistles will one find a commandment to keep the Sabbath because the New Testament teaches that
the Sabbath was fulfilled in Christ. For the Christian, every day is a day of rest in Him-- for He fulfilled the Law of Moses.

Justin Martyr wrote this:
"Sunday is the day upon which we all hold
our communion and assembly"
-- Justin was a direct tie from Polycarp, who was a student of the Apostle John.

If a person goes on Sunday to church to worship who are they worshiping?

I am not sure if I understand your question. A Christian should be worshipping the Lord God-- it is a time of worship, prayer, Bible study and assembling of the Saints under one roof and for one purpose-- to give glory to God.

Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Hebrews 10:25
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

If Jesus died to erased our sins, are we forgiven for any sin that we commit during our life?

Yes-- a True Believer (one who has received Christ as Savior) is forgiven of past, present and future sins:

1John 1:7-9
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1John 2:1-2
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
