God Careth One of the sweet old chapters, After a day like this: The day brought tears and trouble, The evening brings no kiss, Nor rest in the arms I long for— Rest, and refuge, and home; Grieved, and lonely, and weary, Unto the Book I come. One of the sweet old chapters— The love that blossoms through His care of the birds and lilies Out in the meadow dew. His evening lies soft around them; Their faith is simply to be; Ah! hushed by the tender lesson. My God, let me rest in Thee. ~Poem By S. P. Bartlett~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Little Note from Cobblestone Road Ministries: The Lord Jesus said in Luke 12:23-28: The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? We all have bad days. Troubles come-- stress, pressure and worries-- and how many times do we try to bear the weight of the world on our own shoulders? We don't have to. We serve a great God-- One who never gets tired.
