| The Antichrist and The Da Vinci Code? |
| 1John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. The Da Vinci Code ... prepare ye the way for the antichrist! The people of this world are preparing their hearts for the coming world leader. As the world rejects the Bible and the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, they are making their hearts ready for the coming Lawless One, spoken of in the book of Daniel and Revelation. The Da Vinci Code is conditioning the minds of the public in preparation for the antichrist to emerge. 1John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. The Da Vinci Code and its heinous assertions: Dr. Ed Hindson writes: "This dangerous humanistic diatribe, thinly veiled as a novel, is among the most seductive and destructive restatements of bygone heresies in modern time." -Jesus wasn't God -Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married and had children -The Bible isn't the Word of God -The early Church invented the foundational doctrines of Christianity for the purpose of controlling the masses. -The Church conspired to hide the truth The Legend is back! The Da Vinci Code is based upon the legend of the Merovingians. The Merovingians were kings who reigned in France A.D. 428-751. They claimed to be descendents of the progeny resulting from the marriage of "Jesus" and Mary Magdalene, which is total blasphemy in light of the Scriptures. This ancient heretical teaching claims that Jesus Christ survived the crucifixion through deceit and trickery, wed Mary Magdalene, and fathered a number of children whose descendents are now found in the bloodlines of much of European royalty, hence the term "royal blood." The Bible plainly tells us that Jesus not only died, but was also buried for three days and three nights and early on Sunday morning, He rose again from the dead! One must have a very colorful imagination to assume for one minute that a person can just walk away from a bloody, torturous crucifixion and have the strength to escape from his own country and venture hundreds of miles away to a distant land. Even today with all the medical advances, one crucified would never have the stamina to escape and flee his homeland into Europe, no matter how great the surgeon is, and yet we are to assume that this obvious fictitious story took place. The mythical "christ" of The Da Vinci Code is no match for the authentic Christ Jesus of the Bible. DID JESUS DIE ON THE CROSS? WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT JESUS' DEATH? First of all, Jesus knew that He would die beforehand. He stated this repeatedly, in advance, to his disciples. So if he wanted to escape death, why did He go into Jerusalem that week, knowing that He would be killed on the Preparation of the Passover? Matthew 16:21 says, "From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day." Jesus said in Matthew 26:2, "Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified." He told Nicodemus in John 3:14, And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus said in John 12:27, "Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour." At the Last Supper, Jesus told Judas, "what you will do, do quickly." Rather than fleeing for his life at that moment, Jesus instead went to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray and even waited there until Judas arrived with the soldiers. When Jesus was being arrested, Peter cut off the ear of one of Jesus' captors and Jesus told him to put his sword away and said in Matthew 26:53-54, "Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?" Yes, the mission of Jesus was to be the Messiah, the Passover Lamb, who would take away the sins of the world and would rise again on the third day. Pontius Pilate gave Jesus so many chances to defend himself. He said to Jesus in Matthew 27:13-14, "Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?" And he [Jesus] answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly." So if one did not want to die, why not shout from the rooftops and confess his innocence to the one who wanted to release him? Because Pilate already wanted to let Him go, had Jesus spoken up, the crucifixion would have never taken place and we would yet be in our sins. All of mankind would still be lost. This is why Jesus kept silent. Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. Jesus' whole mission was to DIE for our sins and RISE again. It was prophecied that Messiah would be crucified and rise from the dead in Isaiah 53, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." Why didn't Jesus escape the crucifixion? The nails did not hold Him on the cross but His love kept Him there. I believe He died with a smile on His face for He completed the work that He was supposed to do. He became our Passover Lamb and because He was obedient unto death, we are saved from our sins. Because He rose from the dead, we are justified in God's sight and we will live with Him forever. Isaiah 53:10-11 says, "Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities." Luke 24:44 And he [Jesus] said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Luke 24:45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, Luke 24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. THE DEVIL'S GOAL Yet the devil would have men to believe that Jesus escaped death. The devil loves to deny the Finished work of Christ Jesus. It was at the cross that sin's debt was paid for in full. It was in the Resurrection that Christ defeated death! The devil lost everything the day that Jesus rose from the dead and he would love to reverse that day. Of course, satan would have never crucified Jesus if he saw the finished result of what took place afterward. Since the devil cannot literally reverse history, he tries to rewrite history for foolish men whose hearts are evil. For some, his goal is to deny that the crucifixion of Jesus ever took place and for others, his goal is to deny the resurrection. Islam denies the crucifixion of Jesus and if it denies the crucifixion, it also denies the resurrection. The Coptic Church and Gnosticism deny the Cross. But the Bible is VERY CLEAR that Messiah would suffer and die for the sins of mankind and after three days would rise again. The Coptic Church: "Coptic Christianity is an heretical Gnostic tradition which originated in Syria and proliferated in the early centuries A.D. through Clement's Alexandrian School in Egypt. Later history associates the Coptic Church with Druidism, euphemistically called "Celtic Christianity." This pagan sect, which migrated to the British Isles, claims that the literal bloodline of Jesus Christ exists today in a royal lineage called the Merovingian Dynasty. Today, the Coptic/Celtic Church is a formidable movement which is spreading its Gnostic heresy, based on counterfeit Scriptures, via the popular New Age Grail legends." As the public reads such fictitious nonsense found in The Da Vinci Code, their minds are being conditioned to reject the Lord Jesus of the Holy Bible. Thus they become open to reject His Deity and the authority of the Bible. As they reject the Lord Jesus Christ, whom they cannot see with their own eyes (for we must come to God by faith), they will accept the antichrist, whom they will see with the very own eyes. FOR THOSE WHO WILL REJECT THE DEITY OF CHRIST AND THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH: 2Thess 2:8-12 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. The Da Vinci Code is promoting "another gospel." To deny the Lord Jesus Christ's death and resurrection is to deny the entire Bible! For if Jesus did not die but escaped to some distant land, then the Apostles are all liars. Over 500 witnesses saw Jesus resurrected. Stephen, who before being stoned to death, saw the Lord Jesus Christ seated at the right hand of God Almighty. The apostle Paul was converted on the road to Damascus and heard the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ. The apostle John saw the Lord Jesus Christ on the isle of Patmos. The Old Testament prophecies pointed to the DEATH of the Messiah and the Resurrection. So to reject any part of the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is to reject the entire Bible. Christ is at the heart of all Scripture. One cannot mix the TRUTH of the Bible with the fiction of The DaVinci Code! One cannot possibly believe the Bible and the Da Vinci Code simultaneously. Nor can one combine them to form another religion. You either believe the Bible 100% or you don't. You either believe Jesus died for your sins and rose again or you do not believe. There is no middle ground here. The world will worship the antichrist because they will have rejected the TRUTH of the Gospel. 2Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. The antichrist will be appealing to those who reject the Gospel for many reasons, but especially because he will feed the fleshly desires of their evil hearts. Materialism is never satisfied and will always produce a love for self and a rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ. The antichrist will cause craft to prosper. He will be the architect of the final peace plan for the Middle East. He will head a world army and a world empire that will have no place for the ONLY God above of all gods...the God of the Bible. The antichrist will proclaim himself as god and will attempt to stand up against the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord will utterly destroy the antichrist and all the enemies of Israel: Dan 8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. God's Word states that it is Christ Jesus, who will execute vengence upon the antichrist and the false prophet and all the wicked inhabitants of the earth: Rev 19:11-16 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. Isaiah 10:18 And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standardbearer fainteth. Zec 12:8-9 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. THE DA VINCI CODE ... A PAVING STONE? What is the connection between this best selling book and coming the antichrist? Many prophecy experts have written various articles stating that the Antichrist will CLAIM to be of Merovingian blood. If this is true, then the Da Vinci code is just one more paving stone added to the path for the antichrist to walk upon. According to The Da Vinci Code author, Dan Brown, Jesus not only married Mary Magdalene, but the interesting thing is that "jesus" also fathered a child who established and became the head of the Merovingian royal dynasty. We, as Christians, know this supposed bloodline of Jesus is just plain nonsense but many in the world believe the Merovingian bloodline to be true and many more no doubt will believe it to be true after reading The DaVinci Code. In the coming future, these worldly people will welcome the antichrist with open arms and will hail him as the rightful "king of Jerusalem". Chuck Missler writes: "There are many that believe he is alive today. Some believe he is genealogically related to the Merovingian line from the Franks, and thus ultimately linked to the family trees of the Habsburgs and the Houses of Lorraine, Plantard, Luxembourg, Pontézat, Montesquieu, Sinclair, Stuart, and most of the royal families of Europe. Among contemporary luminaries are Otto von Habsburg of Austria and his son Karl; King Juan Carlos I of Spain and his son Felipe; and, most notably, Charles, Prince of Wales." One online message board reads: Royal Family is "royal" because they make the claim that they are from the house of David the son of Jesse and the Royal house of Judah. The Queen was coronated, "Queen of thy people, Israel." Some experts have attempted to tie British Israelism to the fictitious Merovingian bloodline. It is interesting that the Da Vinci Code author promotes the "jesus" bloodline as a fact even though the book is labeled as fiction; for according to the author, Dan Brown, he is now a believer in the fictitious subject matter of which he wrote: "I was skeptical, but after a year and a half of research, I became a believer," says Brown. "As soon as people understand that the few Gospels included in the Bible are not the only version of the Christ story, they begin to sense contradictions. Magdalene is most obvious." Her role, he says, was deliberately distorted, a smear campaign by the early church fathers -- as one of his characters declares, "the greatest cover-up in human history." Does Brown believe Jesus was actually married to Magdalene? "I do," he says.... read more here. JESUS THE MESSIAH vs. the antichrist The Bible tells us many things about Jesus and the Bible is the FINAL AUTHORITY. The Bible tells us that Jesus lived a sinless life, died for our sins and rose again on the third day. Jesus's mission was to save His people from their sins. For this reason He came into the world. We must remember that the Bible is specific that the Messiah must come from the lineage of David. We KNOW that Jesus is the Messiah for He is of the lineage of David but also He fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament concerning Messiah. (Isaiah 53, Isaiah 9:6, Zech 12:10, Psalm 22:16, John 19:37, Daniel 9:26, Psalm 16:10, Acts 13:37, Micah 5:2, Genesis 49:10, 1Chron 17:11) The Antichrist will claim to be a descendant of David, even though he is NOT. The Jews will be convinced that He is their long awaited messiah. Who else but a royal could trace his lineage all the way back to the time of David? And even so, the records would be more current if he were a "descendant" of "jesus christ", who is of the line of David. Ah, yes, and the not so subtle antiGospel fiction of the Da Vinci Code is conditioning the minds of this age to accept the future antichrist. Next year, a movie bearing the book's name will be shown to the public for more of the same...preparing the way for the antichrist. Although the antichrist might claim to be Jewish, his ancestors are most likely Syrians and Greeks. Even though he will be European, the antichrist will probably be a descendant of the Greek Antiochus Epiphanes, the great blasphemer of the Old Testament. The antichrist will truly be the false messiah. And initially the Jews will accept him as their Jewish messiah UNTIL he violates their temple and blasphemes the God of Abraham. Daniel 8:23-24 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. Dan 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. Dan 11:37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. Dan 11:38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. The bible is very specific in calling the antichrist a "prince" and a "king". Who the antichrist is at this time, NO ONE truly knows. He will not emerge on the scene as a great power until the rapture of the church takes place. Once the rapture takes place, the antichrist will go forth into the earth campaigning his theories and peace plans for 3.5 years. He will set up a Seven Year peace plan and sign a covenant with Israel. The Jews will believe him to be their messiah for He will fulfill THEIR requirements for what THEY believe messiah should do...physical deliverance from their enemies. Jesus Christ said in John 5:43, "I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive." And Israel will receive the antichrist with open arms for he will solve their problem. But what they will not foresee is what happens next. In the middle of the seven years, the Bible says that the antichrist will then be given a mouth and will open his mouth and utter three blasphemies against God. This begins the time of Jacob's trouble for Israel and new Christian converts. Jesus warned of this time for Israel in Matthew 24: Mat 24: 15-22, "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." Daniel 8:11-12 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered. In order to gain the overall picture of what will take place in the end times, the words of Jesus, the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation - all must be incorporated into the Bible study in order to form the the final analysis. Let's take a look at just a few verses concerning the antichrist: Notice that a MOUTH is given to the antichrist and POWER: Rev 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. Once he has a mouth, notice that the antichrist utters THREE BLASPHEMIES against God. He blasphemes God's name. He blasphemes against the tabernacle, which in the Greek means "habitation." The Beast also blasphemes them that dwell in in heaven. Rev 13:6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. Dan 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. The Beast will wage war with the saints of God. All those people, left behind after the Rapture has occurred, who have now become believers in Jesus. Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. Dan 7:21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; Notice that ALL unbelievers shall worship the antichrist. Remember that Enoch and Elijah will be preaching to the world for three and a half years during the Tribulation period and many will be converted but those who will reject the Lord will worship the antichrist. There is no middle ground. If one will not worship the Lord, one will worship the antichrist. So it has always been. If you do not serve God, you are serving the devil; whether you want to believe it or not. Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. IN CONCLUSION In conclusion, The Da Vinci Code is one more paving stone being laid out for the antichrist to walk upon. Those who will believe this fictitious work will reject the Truth found only in God's Holy Word. Many already believe that the supposed Merovingian bloodline from "jesus" is authentic. How many more will become believers after reading The DaVinci Code or seeing the movie? How many more will begin to doubt the Bible and its authority? Prophecy experts, for years, have been writing theories on how the fictitious Merovingian bloodline might play an important role with the antichrist; how the antichrist might claim to be of this blasphemous lineage and thus make himself the "king of Jerusalem". It is interesting that a novel, labeled as FICTION, is being believed to be the truth; and the Bible, which is the truth, is portrayed as a lie. Tragically, the Christ of the Bible is no longer the Savior in the minds of many today but merely a man. As more people are rejecting the Deity of Christ and the Authority of the Holy Scriptures and turning to fables, they are preparing their hearts for the false christ to emerge. Let's read this Scripture once more: 2Tim 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. We should rejoice, knowing that these are the Last Days before the Lord's Return. Jesus is coming back very soon. We know, from Scripture, that the Lord Jesus Christ did die for our sins and rose from the dead according to the Scriptures. This was His purpose in coming to earth. Jesus is the TRUE Jewish Messiah. Jesus is alive. The Bible is the final authority. God's Word is truth! (John 17:17) Galations 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
