Deut 4:16 Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
Deut 4:23 Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.
Deut 5:8 Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:
Is there such a thing as female angels? The Biblical answer is an emphatic "NO!" Nowhere in Scripture will one find a female angel.
Angels are referred to in the Bible (Hebrew language) as Bene elohim, or "sons of God." Notice it does not say, "Daughters of God."
So why then are there so many so called "Christian" websites featuring female "angels" on their web pages? Why not just stick to the Bible? We have even seen so-called Baptist websites with female angels on their site-- ¦to our amazement.
"Jesus" Pictures
There are Christian websites which feature crucifixion animations with "Jesus" still hanging on a cross, crucifix backgrounds, etc.
Jesus is alive! He is not dead upon a cross.
On other Christian sites, one will find naked cherubs, female angels, "Jesus" pictures with bug-eyes and blonde hair.
Any "photo of Jesus" floating around is not authentic. We don't know what Jesus looked like. We can be sure He, being Jewish, did not have blonde stringy straight hair and blue bugged-out eyes.
Former Catholic Priest, Richard Bennett and J. Virgil Dunbar of Berean Beacon Ministries write:
Christ Jesus is a member of that Godhead. He told the religious leaders, "I said therefore unto you, that you shall die in your sins: for if you believe not that I am he, you shall die in your sins." By using the expression "I AM", the Lord identifies Himself as the God revealed in the Old Testament, the "I AM THAT I AM"-- the self-existing, eternal God who spoke to Moses and gave the Ten Commandments from Mount Sinai. The Second Commandment totally prohibits making material representations of His person. In creating images of Christ in books, videotapes, films, stained glass windows and other artistic mediums --all things of "man's devices” men have gone beyond Scripture in their attempt to add to the biblical revelation of who Christ is. The LordGod explicitly warned against adding to His written Word and He warns just as explicitly against adding visual images of the Godhead.
Creating a visual representation of the Lord Jesus, by definition, is to portray "another Jesus." The Lord Jesus in His Person, character, and work is divine and perfect. No Savior other than the One proclaimed in Scripture is permissible. Those who claim they are only depicting the humanity of Jesus Christ fall into the grievous heresy of Nestorius, as they wrongly attempt to divide the humanity from the deity of Christ, ending up with idols produced by the imaginations of their own hearts.
The Lord God gave believers a Wordbook, not a picture book. The Gospel is at stake-- for the Scripture states that "faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God." The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation as it is written, read, preached, and spoken one to another. The power of the Word is that it is God's revealed propositional truth. Rather than subjective imaginations created by man, "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." It is God's revealed propositional truth that has the power to change the hearts and minds of those who live in the darkness of their own imaginations, for His light through the Written Word will shine on their evil hearts and the thoughts and deeds that flow from them. It is through this method that they will be convicted of their need for a true Savior and ready for the Gospel of God's grace alone in which to trust by faith alone.
Any "Jesus" photo out there does the REAL JESUS-- the ONE FOUND IN THE HOLY BIBLE-- a great disservice for HE IS THE LORD and HE IS HOLY and HE IS GOD (the Second Person of the Trinity) and it is a violation of the Second Commandment to make an image or likeness of God.
Jesus is described in the Book of Revelation having WHITE HAIR, FEET LIKE POLISHED BRASS AND EYES LIKE FLAMES OF FIRE! ¦How can one possibly depict that in a painting?ONE CANNOT! The beloved Apostle John fell as a dead man when he saw the Lord Jesus! Rev 1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. Rev 1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; Rev 1:15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voiceas the sound of many waters. Rev 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. Rev 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: Rev 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
The True Jesus of the Bible has WHITE HAIR.
It's about time people remove FALSE images of Jesus from off their website for these pictures are ANOTHER JESUS. We must worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth!
Folks, there is no such thing as female angels in the Bible. Prayerfully consider removing that erroneous stuff from off your website. PRAY FOR GOD'S TRUTH AND STICK TO THE BIBLE.
What the Bible says about REAL angels:
Dr. Henry M. Morris writes:
The only obvious and natural meaning [of the designation, "sons of God"]... is that these beings were sons of God, rather than of men, because they had been created, not born. Such a description, of course, would apply only to Adam (Lk. 3:38) and to the angels, whom God had directly created (Psa. 148:2, 5; 104:4; Col. 1:16).
Dr. Morris explains further:
Whenever angels have appeared visibly to men, as recorded in the Bible, they have appeared in the physical bodies of men. Those who met with Abraham, for example, actually ate with him (Gen. 18:8) and, later, appeared to the inhabitants of Sodom in such perfectly manlike shape that the Sodomites were attempting to take these "men" for homosexual purposes. The writer of Hebrews suggests that, on various occasions, some "have entertained angels unawares". (Heb. 13:2).
It is true that the Lord Jesus said that...in the resurrection they "neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven." (Mat. 22:30). However, this is not equivalent to saying that angels are "sexless," since people who share in the resurrection will surely retain their own personal identity, whether male or female.
Furthermore, angels are always described, when they appear, as "men," and the pronoun "he" is always used in reference to them. Somehow they have been given by God the capacity of materializing themselves in masculine human form when occasion warrants, even though their bodies are not under the control of the gravitational and electromagnetic forces which limit our own bodies in this present life. (The above excerpt is from The Giants of Old (Part 2), The Genesis Record - by Henry M. Morris.)
2Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
1John 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
