His One Mistake

He ate the most nutritious foods.

He took his vitamins everyday.

He exercised four times a week.

He saw his doctor once a year.

He never smoked cigarettes.

He never drank alcohol.

He was ready to live to 100!!

The funeral will be next Wednesday.

He forgot God!
And lived as if this world was his all, so
he is now with those who say,
"The harvest is past, the summer is ended,
and we are not saved."

Jeremiah 8:20

Dear Friend: Are you making this mistake? The
Lord Jesus says:
"For what shall it profit a
man, if he shall gain the whole world, and
lose his own soul?"

(Mark 8:36)

The Bible shows how you can avoid
this mistake: Romans 10:9-10 says:
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart
that God hath raised him from the dead, thou
shalt be saved.  For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and
with the mouth confession is made
unto salvation."

Ecc 12:1a  Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth

It is easy for the worldly man to forget about God and his own soul.
The earthly man looks down, trying to acquire the material wealth
of this earth. But if he would only lift his eyes, and look upward, he would see
that this earth is just a small part of a vast Universe. The stars and the planets
testify that there is a God.

Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Psalm 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the
firmament sheweth his handywork.

John 1:1-4
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that
was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

And God became a man and lived a pure and perfect life upon this earth.

John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,
(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of
grace and truth.

Jesus came into this world to die for our sins. Jesus died
upon a cruel cross and shed His precious blood for our sins. He
arose from the grave on the third day and He is alive forevermore!
The great Creator became our Savior.

The Lord Jesus said in John 3:16-19:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the
world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned:
but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in
the name of the only begotten Son of God.   And this is the condemnation, that
light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light,
because their deeds were evil.
