Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
What is in store for this new year? Only God knows. He knows the end from the beginning. He knows all of our days. We are to look to Him for strength, support, guidance, comfort and wisdom. We look unto the Lord Jesus-- the Author and Finisher of our Faith. He is coming back! Are we ready?
This world is just going to get worse. It is on a downward plunge into more wickedness. May we then, as Christians, seek those things which are above. We do not need New Year's Resolutions. We need to purpose it in our hearts ALWAYS to yield to His will-- not our own will but His will. As we look to Him for strength, we find that He is able to help us in every situation. The fear of the Lord is wisdom and to depart from evil is understanding.
May we, in this new year, continue to walk in His way. May we continue to wait in expectation for His appearing. May we know the peace that passes all human understanding. Trials will come but when they come, may we cling more to our blessed Savior!
At Cobblestone Road, our prayer is that every one of us and our readers would grow closer to the Lord Jesus Christ! He is coming again! It could be today or it could be twenty years from now but one thing we do know-- His coming is nearer than it was yesterday. Take life one day at a time with Jesus as your Guide. He is the Loving Shepherd of His sheep. He will always see you through whatever trial may come your way. Life is never easy but we have a blessed Savior Who is with us every step of the way. We follow Him. We do not know what tomorrow holds but we do know the Lord holds tomorrow. He will never fail us!
In this new year, remember to keep the Lord Jesus first and all things will have their place. God bless you all!
Phi 4:6-8 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
