Most Christians spiritualize the word, "glory." When the Prophets speak of the
glory of the Lord covering the earth as the waters cover the deep it is thought
that it will be a spiritual glory. But it is forgotten that there is also a
literal glory
which belongs to the Lord. Such a glory was manifested in Old Testament
times. It tabernacled with Israel in the wilderness. It was seen by prophets.

A literal glory, visible on the earth and over the earth is promised for the Coming
Age. The Great Tribulation, (in which the True Church is not concerned) ends
with the manifestation of the Lord of Lords and King of Kings out of the
opened Heavens. He brings with Him to glory His body, the Church, the many
sons. It will be the most marvelous spectacle which has ever been witnessed by
human eyes, by angels and the Heavenly host. His glory will then be established
upon Mount Zion as well as in the heavens, and His glory and the knowledge of
it will cover the earth.

Following are a number of references which speak of the coming glory:

Num 14:21
But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the
LORD.

Psalm 72:19 And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth
be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

Psalm 96:3  Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

Psalms 97:1-6  The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of
isles be glad thereof. Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness
and judgment are the habitation of his throne. A fire goeth before him, and
burneth up his enemies round about. His lightnings enlightened the world: the
earth saw, and trembled. The hills melted like wax at the presence of the
LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. The heavens declare his
righteousness, and all the people see his glory.

Psalm 102:15 So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings
of the earth thy glory.

Psalm 145:10-13   All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall
bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;
To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of
his kingdom. Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion
endureth throughout all generations.

Psalm 102:16  When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.

Isaiah 4:5-6  And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount
Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a
flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence. And there shall be
a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of
refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

Isaiah 35:2  It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing:
the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and
Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.

Isaiah 40:4  Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be
made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

Isaiah 60:1-3  Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is
risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross
darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be
seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the
brightness of thy rising.

Isaiah 66:18,19  For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I
will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory. And I
will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the
nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to
the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and
they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.

Isaiah 6:3  And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD
of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

Ezekiel 34:21-23  Because ye have thrust with side and with shoulder, and
pushed all the diseased with your horns, till ye have scattered them abroad;
Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will
judge between cattle and cattle. And I will set up one shepherd over them, and
he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be
their shepherd.

John 12:41  These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.

But who can even imagine what a glory that will be! Oh glorious destiny of the
Redeemed, the children of God, when Christ, who is our life, is manifested we
shall be manifested with Him in glory!
