The following is just a taste of what has been going on in modern so-called "Christianity". Some of this you may already know but it is shocking and appalling nonetheless. The professing church has become idolatrous, yet the True Church is comprised of True Believers who worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth.
You might have noticed that the apostasy in professed "Christendom" seems to be accelerating at such a rapid rate in these Last Days. Anything goes...
The FALSE convert will desire false teaching AND will worship a FALSE "jesus" and will manufacture a false "gospel".
Modern Christianity is about making a buck...all in the name of "jesus". It's about entertainment...all in in the name of "jesus". It's about "bringing the church into the world", as TBN's Matt Crouch has stated. Yet the Bible says,
1John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
The Lord Jesus said:
John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
John 12:25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
Obviously the Joel Osteen board game "Your Best Life Now" is not based upon the words of Jesus found in John 12:25...because Joel has stated that he is not into "negative" stuff.
One "Christian" website for an Assembly God Youth Group had an animated talking "jesus" that spoke about the current things going on in their church. This avatar of "jesus" had bulging blue eyes and stringy long brown hair, and started out by saying:
"Hey, it's me...Jesus. Welcome to the ______ Assembly of God's website..."
Then his eyes would follow the mouse cursor all over the page. Absolutely appalling. For any church to place such a thing on their website, there is no fear or reverence of God! Jesus is God! He is the GLORIFIED SAVIOR in Glory! Click here to read our article, Unbiblical Things.

A church in Tennessee is spending more than $300,000 to renovate and innovate space for its children and youth; beginning with a chapel featuring a 16-foot, foam Jesus Christ statue sitting on a 15-foot throne. What part of the Second Commandment don't they understand?
Exodus 20:4-5 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.
No graven image -- no likeness. Yet the pastor of the church says of the children, "They're wowed by the big, ol' Jesus."
"We wanted children to have their own worship experience," said Dr. Teal, founder and pastor of the 700-member, 9-year-old Brainerd church. "We wanted them to basically have church on their own level."
The chapel was created by Dream Big Studios, a Cleveland, Tenn., company that has done work for Dollywood, North Cleveland Church of God and Perry Stone Ministries.

As if things couldn't get any more sacreligious in the world of the professing Apostate Church, check out the wacky world of Roach Approach, where animated roaches are dressed up as your favorite characters from the bible.
Roaches are a curse, which is a result of the Fall of man. They serve no purpose except they bring disease into the home and city. What's next, an animated virus or bacteria posing as bible characters?
More bible themes for the kiddies...The newest is from "God Rocks!"
From their website... "Using high quality animation, original music, books and other creative resources, God Rocks! was designed to teach kids important lessons from the Bible in a fun way. The God Rocks!® cartoon characters and universe is based on Luke 19:40, "If the people fall silent, the stones will cry out." Fun rock characters, including main character Chip Livingstone, live in the imaginary town of Rocky Ridge, where they live to sing and praise God - just in case the people fall silent!" http://www.godrocks.ca/about.php
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` BRINGING THE WORLD INTO YOUR LIVING ROOM...
As if the Veggie Tales could not get any worse, they are now bringing the worldly songs into the children's ears. According to Big Idea's website:
"All the rock, all the funk, all the love -- lace up the roller skates and let's boogie on down to the rink with Bob and Larry in this sure-to-be Veggie Tales Classic: Bob & Larry Sing the 70s. This album is full of songs for the entire family to enjoy!"
Songs include:
1. Funky Town 2. Locomotion 3. Lean On Me 4. Car Wash 5. Proud Mary 6. Jesus Is Just Alright 7. You Are The Sunshine Of My Life 8. Crocodile Rock 9. The Lion Sleeps Tonight 10. I Just Want To Celebrate 11. I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing 12. We Are Family
Wow! Your children only have a few impressionable years...so why not give them some worldly songs to sing, so when they are old, they will have already developed a love for secular music? By then, it probably won't even be called secular music. Unreal!
Is it any wonder that the Bible warns us of the apostasy of the Last Days!
Wednesday, 11/29/06 Christians must 'let go' some beliefs for sake of peace, theologian says By ANITA WADHWANI Staff Writer
To live peacefully with Muslims and Jews, Christians must put aside the notion that their faith requires the creation of a Christian kingdom on Earth, a Lipscomb University theologian told an interfaith gathering at the university.
"We are not going to get very far in our relationship with Jews or Muslims if we do not let go of this idea," Lipscomb professor Lee Camp said at Tuesday's conference.
"We need to forsake the Christendom model," Camp said. "The most basic Christian commitment … is that we say we believe in the Lordship of Jesus. But, if we claim that, how can a Muslim or Jew trust us, if we say Jesus is the Lord of all Lords?"
Folks, this is ONLY the beginning for the "bridging" of the One World Religion, that will take center stage during the Last Days.
FoxFaith is a new venture by Twentieth Century Fox. According to Christianity Today, they are serious about reaching the Christian market:
"Let me be very clear: We are in the business of entertainment. First and foremost, FoxFaith releases will be quality entertainment. We have no agenda and we are not in the business of proselytizing or preaching."
Introducing her guests, she said, "If you want to change the way you live, change your thinking. I want them to bring their wisdom to you today, give people tools to really transform their lives." And then the camera panned over to two men, co-authors of the book, "Why We Want You to be Rich": Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump.
Yes,“ the Donald. Donald Trump -- to give you the wisdom of the world to transform your life! I mean, who wouldn't want a life like his? On his fourth marriage – all to beautiful (at least by outer appearance) women who mothered his children. The Donald – living in the lap of luxury, flying around in his own private jet, hosting his own reality program, The Apprentice, and here on this "Christian" program to share his worldly wisdom with all of us: how to become rich-- how to become a billionaire...
What a show! Jesus warned us in Matthew 19:24 that it was easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven. And here, Paula White, a professing preacher of the Gospel and professed follower of that same Jesus who warned us, has such a rich man on her show giving "great advice" regarding "destiny".
Mark 10:24 ...But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
A GODLY CHRISTIAN ROLE MODEL? (Warning: inappropriate language)
Amy Grant was awarded with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. At the ceremony she closed her speech with the following:
"I see all my family, co-workers and friends and I have to say, nothing happens alone. Life is like a massive vessel, you don't sail alone and sometimes I felt like the naked lady on the front of the ship with my tits to the wind! Its been an exciting ride! Thank you."
On November 7, Minnesota became the first state to send a Muslim to Congress. His name is Keith Ellison, a former Catholic who converted to Islam at age 19. While campaigning, he seldom mentioned his faith unless asked about it...
Ellison will be sworn in on a Koran. So now the Bible is equivalent to the Koran in the halls of Congress? Doesn't this then mean he is pledging allegiance to Islamic Law (Sharia) rather than our Constitution? Where is the outrage here? He will also bring his prayer mat and pray to Mecca. Ellison is a Sunni Muslim.
Many have noticed that TBN is REALLY trying to make a connection with their Muslim audience. Paul Crouch was on TBN a while ago telling the "precious Muslim viewers" that he was reading their "holy book", the Koran, and encouraging the viewers to read the bible. Anyone who has studied Islam for any length of time KNOWS that there can be no bridge between the two faiths. The true Cross of Christ creates a huge chasm...not a bridge.
Apprising Ministries transcribed a recent TBN program, which the Crouch boys interview Dr. Jeremiah Cummings:
Paul Crouch, Jr. asks Cummings, "Now do you have to turn your back on Muhammad when you become a Christian?"
According to an article titled, "Some Christian Ministries Embracing Large Corporate Sponsors", by Lillian Kwon, major corporations are now sponsoring Christian venues.
One of the newest and largest Christian festivals: "Megafest with Bishop T.D. Jakes" hits Atlanta for its third year this Wednesday. This year's lineup of superstars includes Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin, Queen of Gospel Pastor Shirley Caesar, Donnie McClurkin, Kirk Franklin, and Steve Harvey among other stars. Also in the lineup for 2006 corporate sponsors are The Coca-Cola Company, The Clorox Company, Delta Air Lines, Bank of America, Kraft Foods, and General Mills among others.
Christian comics have come a long way since Al Hartley's books of the 1980s. Many thought those were sacreligious enough but they are nothing compared to the "Holy Cow Christian Comics". They have a long list of "bible" stories for people to read with titles such as "An Angel in the Kitchen and a Bun in the Oven" retelling the story of the Angel Gabriel visiting the virgin Mary. http: //www.webcomicsnation.com/deanrankine/
Stryper, the Heavy Metal band from the 80's, came out with an album in 2005; featured on the front CD cover is a picture of the four bandmates covered in greenish slime with the title "Reborn".
"...As these photos portray - no matter how hard we strive to free ourselves from the slime and the sin that consumes us, only God can set us free, and through Him we can be "Reborn" again!" - Stryper
This is truly a mockery of the Holy Spirit's work in the life of a person who receives Christ. The title should have not been "Reborn" with such a repulsive cover. Four men, claiming to be Christians, should not be pictured in slime... And "Christians" should not autograph bibles and promote themselves in idolatry.
Back in August of 2005, blabbermouth.net wrote:
If you pre-order STRYPER's first studio album in over a decade, "Reborn", the CD will be shipped to you on August 10 (making it possible that you will get yours before it hits the stores on August 16) along with an autographed STRYPER pocket Bible (the same Bibles the band throw out at concerts, which has never before been offered to the public). Each Bible will be autographed by either Michael Sweet, Robert Sweet, or Oz Fox (The autograph you get will be randomly selected). However, if you order TWO discs you will receive two Bibles autographed by two DIFFERENT band members. Order THREE discs and you'll receive three Bibles autographed by each member, giving you one of each...
Stryper's lead singer, Michael Sweet, was on TBN a while back promoting his new "Him" album, where he took the words of sacred hymns and changed the melodies into his own pop themes. "It's all about Him"... don't you know but when one visits his website and his myspace page, one finds out very quickly that it's all about Michael Sweet...with his pictures plastered throughout and his favorite things, etc. Such is truly a promotion of self...and an encouragement of idolatry among the "loyal fans." John the Baptist said that it was Jesus who must increase... what a contrast to today's "christian" mindset.
Former Stryper band member, Tim Gaines, had this to say about CCM:
"We as Christian musicians, are called to a higher standard than that of the world which has infiltrated our industry. We were chosen to be Holy before God and to be an example to a world without hope. We were NOT called to be teen idols, and we are NOT called to be worshipped. God is a jealous God." source: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=24667405&blogID=41035575&MyToken=114daf49-3ca0- 4cb9-b65b-b6666c875ee4
The devil tempted Jesus, offering him things that were contrary to God's Word and God's plan.
The devil offered Eve a chance to become wise, a good thing in her mind, an appealing thing, but at the cost of disobeying God's commandment! The devil is subtle. He is not going to offer witchcraft to a "christian" child...he will just offer his poisonous apple in the name of "jesus". In the end, the results are the same.
Beware of the modern church motto: "Embrace the world fully but please remember to put a jesus tag on your vice... otherwise, it ain't 'christian.'"
The Lord Jesus said: "My kingdom is not of this world..."
1John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
