The Power Of His Might
Do you want victory in your life? The power to victorious living comes
ONLY when we are resting
in His might. Oh, how we all need to
understand this.

Psalm 18:32
It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way
perfect.

The world tells us to, "be strong" and "only the strong survive." Yet the
Bible tells us, "Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of HIS might." We
must understand that as Christians, we must not be strong in ourselves but
rather we must be
strong in the Lord-- allowing Him to give us the power
we need to walk the Christian walk. It's when we say, "I give up," that
God is most powerful in our lives. The Lord does things that we cannot
comprehend. He sees things that we cannot see. When God asks a
question, He already knows the answer! So when we put our situation in
His hands, we know that He will take care of the matter. And when we
stand in His might, we have true strength to fight any battle that comes our
way.

Psalm 84:5
Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart
are the ways of them.

Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

It is the Lord Jesus Christ who strengthens us. Strength is given to those
who rely upon Him. The minute we rely upon ourselves, we are no longer
relying upon God. It is He who gives us the power to overcome. The
worldly man compares himself to his fellow man but yet man is nothing
when compared to Almighty God!
One man and God equals a majority.
To be empowered with God's power, we are overcomers. He gives
strength to the weary and rest to the one who is struggling.

Many of our US soldiers, stationed overseas are Christians who read our
website and to them, we offer our encouragement in the Lord, praying for
them to have a safe return.  Regardless of what one may think of the war
in Iraq, the dedicated soldiers, trying to establish peace in that region, and
elsewhere
deserve our support and we all should be praying for them
every day
—that God would strengthen them, protect them, comfort
them, heal them and comfort their families. The Lord provides strength to
the weary and He is our might!

As Christians, we LOOK to the Lord! But the evil and materialistic man
does not make God his refuge, but rather leans upon his own strength:

Psalm 52:7
Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but
trusted in the abundance of his riches, and
strengthened himself in his
wickedness.

But as Believers in Christ Jesus, our strength is exclusively in the Lord.

Below are just a few Scriptures that address the power of God and
our relationship with Him. May these Scriptures minister to our
hearts and may our every thought be brought into captivity to the
obedience of Christ.
(2 Corinthians 10:15) It is God who gives us
POWER. And you will observe from the following verses that whether
it is the Old Covenant or the New, God is still the One His children
relied upon. It was His strength, His might, His power, etc.:

Isaiah 40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no
might
he increaseth strength.

Psalm 73:26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength
of my heart, and my portion forever.

ground. Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp
unto our God: Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain
for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains. He giveth to
the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry. He delighteth not in
the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.
The
LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his
mercy.

Psalm 59:9 Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my
defense.

Psalm 138:3 In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and

unto thy servant,

Israel
is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be
God.

everlasting strength:

in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.

him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my
song will I praise him.

infinite.

hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.

judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to
Israel his sin.

Col 1:11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power,
unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Col 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality
and power:

Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all
that we ask or think,
according to the power that worketh in us,

1Cor 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness;
but
unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying,
Not by might, nor by power, but
by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

and the God of my mercy.

Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight,
O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

2Cor 12:9  And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my
strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather
glory in my infirmities,
that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the
chief singer on my stringed instruments.

Isa 25:4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the
needy in his distress,
a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat,
when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

Psalm 118:14 The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my
salvation.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power,
and of love, and of a sound mind.

CONCLUSION

In the Book of Revelation, Chapter 12, we read of how the great multitude
(those left behind), will come out of great tribulation-- that they overcame
the devil
"by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony."
The Gospel is the power of God unto Salvation, the blood of the Lamb
cleanses us from all sin, and the word of our testimony is that the Lord
Jesus Christ is the ONLY Savior, and that
He saves us from our sins and
also EMPOWERS us to be overcomers in this life THROUGH the power
of the Holy Spirit-- for it is IN the strength of the Lord-- in Him alone--
that we live, move and have our being. (Acts 17:28). May this truth take
hold in our hearts today. When we are weak, He is strong. May we, as
Believers, know the TRUE prescription for victory-- and may we solely
look to Him for strength, being ever dependent upon Him!

The Lord Jesus said in John 15:5:
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He
that
abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for
without me ye can do nothing.

Ephesians 3:16-21 That he would grant you, according to the riches of
his glory, to be strengthened with might
by his Spirit in the inner man;
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and
grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the
breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ,
which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of
God. Now
unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that
we ask or think,
according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him
be glory in the church
by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without
end. Amen.
