Lam 3:24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore
    will I hope in him

As believers in Christ Jesus, we need to trust in the Lord.
When troubles come our way and we don't know what to do,
we must trust God that He has all things in control and that
He has our best interests at heart. Here are a few Scriptures
to encourage you today. Reading them is one thing but you
must believe them and  not let doubt or discourgement have
rule over you. We serve a powerful and able God, who is
    concerned about our every care.

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for
good to them that love God, to them who are the called
    according to his purpose.

Let that verse sink in...ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER
FOR GOOD, to them that LOVE GOD and to them who are
the called according to His purpose. Do you believe this? As
one who follows Jesus Christ, all things work together for
good. Are you the called according to His purpose? Well, if
you are saved, then the answer is "yes" for your life is not
your own.  You serve the Lord and the best place that the
christian can be is to be in the center of His will. God works
all things out for our good. Trust in the Lord! Believe His
promises in His Word. The Lord will never fail you.

    Vance Havner said, "Faith doesn't wait until it understands;
in that case, it would not be faith."

A.W. Tozer said, "Faith is the vitamin that makes all we take
from the Bible digestible and makes us able to receive it and
assimilate it. If we do not have faith, we cannot get anything."

Psalm 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the
LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he
withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Psalm 33:18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that
    fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

Psalm 33:22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according
    as we hope in thee.

Psalm 31:24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen
your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Psalm 43:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art
thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise
him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

    Jeremiah 17:7-10
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose
hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the
waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and
    shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green;
and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall
cease from yielding fruit.  The heart is deceitful above all
things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?  I the
LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every
man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his
    doings.

    Psalm 23 <A Psalm of David.>
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me
beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in
the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I
walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no
evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort
me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine
enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth
over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days
of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

    Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto
thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.

    Isaiah 12:2
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid:
for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he
    also is become my salvation.

    Nahum 1:7
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and
he knoweth them that trust in him.

We have these wonderful promises found in God's Word.
Why do we still continue to worry? Because we have not cast
our every care upon the Lord. Corrie Ten Boom said that,
"worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties
today of its strength." If we would only believe God's Word
when troubles come our way. The Lord told us NOT to
worry. We need to obey Him. Jesus told us in
Matthew 6:33-34 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and
his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto
you.   Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the
morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient
unto the day is the evil thereof.

Luke 12:27-28 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil
not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in
all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.  If then God so
clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is
cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye
    of little faith?

Why do christians still worry? Because we forget who is in
control. If we know that ALL things work together for good
because God is in control, we will not worry. We will lay our
troubles at His feet and ask Him to intervene.

Vance Havner said that, "Faith in God will not get for you
everything you may want, but it will get for you what God
wants for you to have. The unbeliever does not need what he
wants; the christian should want only what he needs."

Psalm 147:11 The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear
him, in those that hope in his mercy.

Psalm 18:30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the
LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

Psalm 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but
we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Psalm 31:19 Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast
laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for
them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

Psalm 44:6-8 For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my
sword save me.   But thou hast saved us from our enemies,
and hast put them to shame that hated us.  In God we boast
all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.

Let us be mindful that the Lord is with us. He is our Help in
times of trouble. He is our Shield when troubles come our
way. He is our Fortress - for He is the One we run to in our
time of greatest need.  We must believe God and not waver in
our faith. He has everything worked out for us if we will just
    trust Him.

John 14:1-3 [Jesus says] Let not your heart be troubled: ye
believe in God, believe also in me.   In my Father's house are
many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go
to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place
for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that
where I am, there ye may be also.

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and
    they follow me:

For Christians, Christ Jesus is our loving Shepherd. He
guides us through this life. We are like wandering sheep -- we
tend to get preoccupied with something and forget where we
are supposed to be going. Jesus, as our Shepherd, leads us
into the right path. We hear His voice, we follow His leading
and find that there is no safer place to be than in the
    Heavenly Father's perfect will. 2Corinthians 1:3 says,
"Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;" Our
Heavenly Father is the Father of mercies and God of ALL
comforts. How reassuring it is to know we have a God in
heaven who is concerned about our well being. He loves us
and He is merciful. (Luke 6:36) The Lord loves us and if we
would only trust Him, hope in Him, we will find Him to be
ALL that we need to succeed and go through life.

Our life on this earth is a drop of vapor and then it is gone.
Are you trusting in the Lord today? Have you made Jesus
your Savior-- trusting in Him to save you from your sins?

John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and
the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Do you know where you are going when you die? The Bible
says in Acts 16:31: And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus
Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy
    Ghost.
