God Sent Us a Savior If our greatest need had been information, God would have sent us an educator, If our greatest need had been technology, God would have sent us a scientist. If our greatest need had been money, God would have sent us an economist. If our greatest need had been pleasure, God would have sent us an entertainer. But our greatest need was forgiveness, So God sent us a Savior. --Author unknown ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Little Note From Cobblestone Road Ministries: The Gospel message is for everyone and for every day of the year! The Lord Jesus left the splendor of Heaven to be born in a humble manger. The King of the Universe-- the Great I AM became a man and lived the life of a Servant. He never sinned. His mission was to die for our sins. When Adam sinned, all of mankind became separated from God because of sin. Only Jesus, who never sinned, could restore the relationship between God and man. Jesus willingly went to the cross to die for your sins and mine. What a wonderful Savior! The angel told Joseph in Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Jesus shed His precious blood upon the cross for our sins. It was prophesied in the book of Isaiah, chapter 53, that Messiah would be the Suffering Servant to bare the sins of many. Isaiah 53:5-6 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. Messiah would also be highly exalted. Jesus died and was placed inside a borrowed tomb. Three days later, He arose from the grave. The Book of Isaiah tells us that Messiah will have His days prolonged. Now, how can this be if He died for the sins of the people? The ONLY explanation is that Messiah would rise again! Isaiah 53:10-12 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Psalm 16:10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; [means: the grave] neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Because our Messiah is risen, we have hope! He is our Hope! Because Jesus is alive, we have this blessed assurance that one day we will live with Him too. He is our Intercessor. He is seated at the right hand of the Heavenly Father. He is the ONLY Mediator between God and man. Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. The true meaning of Christmas is that Messiah Jesus-- Yeshua-- came as humble Servant and died upon the cruel cross of Calvary for all who would receive Him as Savior. He is risen. He is exalted today and given a name that is above every name. Acts 5:31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. The message of Christmas is the message of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. He died for our sins and rose again and He shall soon return as KING of Kings and LORD of Lords. Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. If you do not know the Lord Jesus as your personal Savior, receive Him into your heart today. Believe on Him for there is NO other Savior. Jesus saves and Him alone. The Bible tells us that there is ONLY One Mediator between God and man-- the man Christ Jesus! Buddha cannot save; Mary cannot save; Mohammed cannot save; The New Age Movement cannot save!
