| In The Morning
Start The Day Right With Jesus |
| For spiritual growth, a Christian must feed upon the Word of God. Many Christians do not have the time to sit and read the Holy Bible in the morning. Life is very rushed but a wise Christian makes time at least to pray. It is pertinent to start the day off right. Many people leave the house without even eating breakfast, but every Christian should at least read one verse in the bible so that they can meditate upon it, as they drive to work. Some Christians read a daily devotional in the morning, while they eat their breakfast. A wise man partakes of food for his soul, as well as for his stomach. He gets alone in the presence of Christ-- and meditates upon God's Word, which is sufficient for the morning hours and for refreshing throughout the day. Make time to spend with God. The Lord loves you! "O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up." the Psalmist declared (Psalm 5:3). "Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it," the Lord answers in Psalm 81:10. So let us be faithful in turning to God in the morning, to utter praise and thanksgiving, to bring to Him the petitions of the day, and to be filled overflowing, in His Word. Begin thy day with God: He is thy sun and day His is the radiance of thy dawn, To Him address thy praise. Take thy first meal with God, His Word, thy spiritual food; Direct to Him thine every care For this we know God answers prayer Thy first transaction be With God Himself above; So shall thy business prosper well, Thy heart be filled with His love.
