"The Two Prayers"

"Last night my little boy confessed to me,
Some childish wrong;
And kneeling at my knee.
He prayed with tears,
"Dear God, make me a man
Like Daddy-- wise and strong,
I know you can."

Then while he slept,
I knelt beside his bed,
Confessed my sins;
And prayed with low bowed head.
"Oh God, make me a child
Like my child here--
Pure, guileless,
Trusting Thee with faith sincere."

A Little Note from Cobblestone Road Ministries:

Eph 5:1
Be ye therefore followers of God as dear children.

Oh to have child-like faith! To be humble before God. To be sincere
in our walk with the Lord!  To repent of sin and to be dependent upon the
Lord. The Bible speaks much of humility and sincerity. May we look to the Lord, trusting Him, and find our needs supplied!

The Lord Jesus said that He will never leave us, nor forsake us.

What a blessed assurance to know that we are His!

May we walk as dear children and as Ephesians 5:2a says,
"And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us."

The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 18:4:
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child,
the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Mark 10:15
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom
of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
