Whose I Am! Jesus, Master, whose I am, Purchased Thine alone to be, By Thy blood, O spotless Lamb, Shed so willingly for me. Let my heart be all Thine own, Let me live to Thee alone. Other lords have long held sway; Now, Thy name alone to bear, Thy dear voice alone obey, Is my daily, hourly prayer. Whom have I in heaven but Thee? Nothing else my joy can be. Jesus, Master! I am Thine; Keep me faithful, keep me near; Let Thy presence in me shine All my homeward way to cheer. Jesus! at Thy feet I fall, Oh, be Thou my All-in-all. ~Poem By: Frances Ridley Havergal ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Little Note from Cobblestone Road Ministries: 1Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Psalm 63:7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. It is very interesting to read the Christian poems of years ago. Many Christian hymn writers of the 1800's understood Christian doctrine and expressed it so beautifully in their writings. "Keep me faithful, keep me near"...all glory belongs to the Lord. He is the One who keeps us in His care. We cannot glory in ourselves but in Christ Alone! "Whatever my lot, THOU hast taught me to say...It is well, it is well with my soul." The Lord teaches us. Many Christian songwriters today write lyrics about "me" and "I" but the Christian's walk with Jesus is "He" leads us, He guides our steps, He keeps us. May we give God the glory for all He has done and will do in our lives! We are instruments in the Lord's hands. Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: The Lord Jesus said in John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. ©2006 Cobblestone Road Ministries All Rights Reserved For More Poems and Commentary, click here If you do not know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, click here to read about the Free Gift of Salvation.
