For all of us who are born again of God's Holy Spirit, we are eternally secure. Our faith is secure in Christ Jesus. Our good works did not save us, nor can our good works keep us saved... but Christ keeps us secure. He has given us His Spirit-- which is the "earnest" of our salvation. Ephesians 1:13-14 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. Salvation is a work completely of God. From start to finish. The moment we received Christ as Savior, He saved us and keeps us saved! What a glorious thought! It is God who has begun a good work in us and will perform until the day of Jesus Christ! Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: The Lord Jesus said in John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
