It is only a tiny rosebud,
A flower of God's design,
But I cannot unfold the petals
With these clumsy hands of mine.
The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I,
The flower God opens so sweetly,
In my hands would fade and die.
I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of God's design,
Then how can I have wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?
So I'll trust Him for His leading
Each moment of every day
And I'll look to Him for His guidance
Each step of the pilgrim way.
For the pathway that lies before me
My heavenly Father knows
I'll trust Him to unfold the moments
Just as He unfolds the rose.

A Note from Cobblestone Road Ministries:

Colossians 3:2-4
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
For ye are dead, and
your life is hid with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye
also appear with him in glory.

Aren't you glad that God holds you in the palm of His hand?
Our Heavenly Father keeps us safe in His care. Our life is
hidden with Christ Jesus in God. We are safe. And just as the
poem says, we will look to Him for His guidance and trust
Him -- for He knows the path before us and will lead us
until that glorious day when we shall see Him face to face..

Psalm 108:3-4
I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises
unto thee among the nations. For thy mercy is great above
the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

We will trust Him to unfold the moments
Just as He unfolds the rose.
The Lord is faithful!
