"We Are But Strangers Here" We are but strangers here; Heaven is our home; Earth is a desert drear; Heaven is our home. Dangers and sorrows stand Round us on every hand; Heaven is our fatherland, Heaven is our home. What though the tempest rage, Heaven is our home; Short is our pilgrimage, Heaven is our home: This life's wild wintry blast Soon will be overpast; We shall reach home at last; Heaven is our home. There at our Saviour's side, In heaven our home, We shall be glorified; Heaven is our home. There with the good and blest, Those we love most and best, We shall for ever rest, In heaven our home. Therefore we'll murmur not, Heaven is our home; Whate'er our earthly lot, Heaven is our home. We shall yet surely stand There at our Lord's right hand; Heaven is our fatherland, Heaven is our home. ~ By T. R. Taylor ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Little Note from Cobblestone Road Ministries: 2Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Every Christian looks forward to the day when they shall finally go to Heaven. Yet, even now, we dwell in Heavenly places with Christ Jesus; and when all of our toil on this earth will be through, then we shall see our Lord Jesus face to face. But while we are upon this earth, the Lord is with us and will enable us to do His will, as we yield ourselves to Him. We are citizens of Heaven-- royal ambassadors of Christ, sent to proclaim His glorious Gospel message to a lost and dying world. We are not laboring for riches upon this earth but rather we are looking forward to the day when we reach the Heavenly Zion-- the City of the Great King! Hebrews 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear The Lord Jesus said in John 14:1-3: Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
