"We Have A Home Above"
We have a home above,
From sin and sorrow free;
A mansion which eternal love
Prepared our rest to be.
The Lord's gracious hand
Has built this blest abode;
From everlasting it was planned;
The dwelling-place of God.
The Saviour's precious blood
Has made our title sure;
He passed through death's dark raging flood
To make our rest secure.
The Comforter is come,
The Earnest has been given;
He leads us onward to the home
Reserved for us in Heaven.
Thy love, most gracious Lord,
Our joy and strength shall be,
Till Thou shalt speak the gladdening word
That bids us rise to Thee.
And then through endless days,
Where all Thy glories shine,
In happier, holier strains we'll praise
The grace that made us Thine.

A Little Note from Cobblestone Road Ministries:
The following verses speak of our eternal destiny. We are so
thankful to God for all His many blessings and for the great
salvation that was purchased for us through the blood of
Jesus Christ! Because Jesus lives, we shall live also!
Forever with Him! Where He is, that is where we shall be!
Our conversation is in Heaven. Our hearts should not
be troubled. Our faith is securely in Christ Jesus. He has
given us the Holy Spirit, who is the Earnest of our salvation.
We are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, awaiting the
day when this mortality shall put on immortality! We have
a home above; and someday, the Kingdom of God will come
to earth and we shall reign with Christ forever!
What a glorious thought!
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also
we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Lord Jesus told us in John 14:1-4:
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have
told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place
for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am,
there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
2 Peter 3:13
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new
heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in
Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth,
the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye
were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest
of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession,
unto the praise of his glory.

“Salvation by grace is appropriated by faith. Grace is the fountain,
but faith is the channel. Grace is the life-line, but faith is the hand that clutches it.
And, thoroughly and finally to exclude all boasting, it is declared that the salvation
and the faith are both the gift Of God. 'And that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.'
That salvation is God's gift is evident. 'The gift of God is eternal life through Christ.'
The free gift, The gift of grace, The gift of righteousness— these phrases determine the
fact that salvation is itself a Divine present to man. 'Salvation,' cried C. H. Spurgeon in
the great congregation, 'is everything for nothing! Christ free!—Pardon free!—Heaven free!'
Thanks be to God for a gratuitous salvation!” ~ Rev. Thomas Spurgeon
